Umpires Training

Umpires training has been totally reorganised since the ECBACO became the main umpires and scorers association, taking over from the ACU&S. Gone is the structure of GL6 leading to GL5 leading to GL4, which under ACU&S made an umpire 'a qualified umpire'. The new structure goes through Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 but at no point does an umpire become 'a qualified umpire'. The level of games that an umpire will be able to stand in depends on grading by either his/her local ACO, or at the higher levels, ECBACO. Levels 1 and 2 are open to all umpires, but the higher levels depend on an invitation from ECBACO based on gradings and local county board recommendations.
