As you will see from the 'Organisation' page, our current Training Officer is Adam Allies. Adam has been giving courses in Huntingdonshire for a goodly number of years, with the help of some of his Peterborough colleagues. A retired teacher, Adam is our contact with the ECB training organisation, as well as giving all our umpires courses.

ECB ACO Statement on Training Courses

Hunts ACO have a very experienced Training Officer, who has a good record of getting new umpires through their exams. Although the Training structure is changing at the moment, we are still providing training for umpires who want it, and brief taster courses for occasional umpires. Details of courses for scorers can also be found here.

The courses are split in to courses suitable for trainee umpires, trainee scorers and introductory courses suitable for clubs and organisations. Of course, by 'trainee' we really just mean that they haven't been officially trained to those levels, not that they have never scored or umpired before.

If you think that you would benefit from a course, this is the place to start. The 'Umpires', 'Scorers' and 'Introductory' pages give details of our planned courses, including their contents and durations.
