Training

Training is undergoing a major reorganisation at the moment, so some levels of training are not possible for the time being, and some levels are local interim replacements until the ECBACO complete the rewriting of the training courses. We, that is, Huntingdonshire, are planning to present a number of courses during the coming winter, details of which will appear on these pages.

The courses are split in to courses suitable for trainee umpires, trainee scorers and introductory courses suitable for clubs and organisations. Of course, by 'trainee' we really just mean that they haven't been officially trained to those levels, not that they have never scored or umpired before.

If you think that you would benefit from a course, this is the place to start. The 'Umpires', 'Scorers' and 'Introductory' pages give details of our planned courses, including their contents and durations.

As you will see from the 'Organisation' page, our current Training Officer is Adam Allies. Adam has been giving courses in Huntingdonshire for a goodly number of years, with the help of some of his Peterborough colleagues. A retired teacher, Adam is currently getting up to speed with the new ECBACO courses, as well as providing Level 1 and Introductory courses.
